«Self-Portrait, Yellow Christ» is a highly symbolic and expressive piece that merges personal suffering with spirituality and social critique. With a raw and harrowing aesthetic, the artwork reflects the conflict between divine sacrifice and human suffering, using a visual language that evokes both Expressionism and Outsider Art.

The composition is centered around two striking elements: the artist’s face, streaked with a trail of blood, and a crucified figure in intense yellow. The blood flowing from the eye symbolizes pain, loss, and altered vision, while the Yellow Christ strays from traditional iconography, adopting an ambiguous tone that shifts between divinity and decay.

«Autorretrato, Cristo Amarillo» es una pieza de gran carga simbólica y expresiva que fusiona el sufrimiento personal con la espiritualidad y la crítica social. Con una estética cruda y desgarradora, la obra refleja el conflicto entre el sacrificio divino y el padecimiento humano, utilizando un lenguaje visual que evoca tanto el expresionismo como el arte outsider.

La composición se estructura en torno a dos elementos centrales: el rostro del artista, atravesado por un reguero de sangre, y una figura crucificada en amarillo intenso. La sangre que fluye desde el ojo es un símbolo de dolor, pérdida y visión alterada, mientras que el Cristo en amarillo se aleja de su iconografía tradicional para adquirir un tono ambiguo, oscilando entre la divinidad y la decadencia.
